About the Business
Our physiotherapy and sports injury clinic is based at the sports centre of the University of Derby on Kedleston Road, Derby. Ideally situated in the Human Performance Unit, you can benefit from the gym and indoor running track to progress your rehabilitation to a new level.
- We are proud to be working with the Team Derby sports scholars and performance teams in partnership with The University of Derby.
- We are registered with the Health Professions Council and we are members of the CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy).
- We do not only see private patients. Some local doctors surgeries refer to us under the NHS. Please ask if this applies to you
- We work closely with general practitioners, consultants and specialists, however, you do not need a referral unless your treatment is covered by private medical insurance. We can usually deal directly with your insurer for payment. Please ask when you make your appointment
Business Services
Acupuncture
Acupuncture can be used in the TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) way and is a simple and safe way to ease the pain. Fine, single-use, sterile needles are inserted into the skin at precise points depending on your specific problem.
Hand Therapy
Helping treat hand, finger, wrist and upper limb injuries.
Emma Bamford & Sarah Harlington, our accredited hand therapists, can help you return to a productive lifestyle following injury, disease or deformity affecting your hand.
The hand is one of the most complex parts of your body. The movement of the tendons, bones, tissues and nerves allows someone to grip and do a wide variety of complex jobs.
Following a hand injury, the hand may not function as it did before the injury due to loss of motion, dexterity, grip and ability to complete the simplest of tasks. In turn, this regularly results in loss of earnings. These patients require treatment in order to return them to work, social and sporting activities.
