About the Business
Chartered physiotherapist graduated from Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy at Cumberland College of Health Sciences (Sydney University) in 1989. Since graduation, she worked in Australia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and UK. In Australia, Kooi consolidated her clinical training thoroughly in a wide array of settings ranging from intensive care unit and fracture clinics in hospitals to schools, and community. She returned to her native soil Malaysia where she set up and run a physiotherapy department in a 160 bed private hospital treating the infants to the elderly in hospital wards and outpatients. Kooi then joined a military hospital in Saudi Arabia during the Desert Storm where she treated many war victims such as injured soldiers and civilians. After that, returned to Malaysia again where she and her husband successfully established another physiotherapy department in a 200 bed private hospital. She co-founded the National Stroke Support Group.
